JOB TITLE: Welder

DEPARTMENT: Production

RESPONSIBLE TO: Team Leader / Production Manager

RESPONSIBLE FOR: –

JOB SUMMARY:

To utilise your skills as a welder in the most effective way in order to produce the best profit for the business.

You are the key person to manufacture products as instructed by the Team Leader / Production. Effectively the Company sells the ‘man hours’ provided by your activities.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Welding
Setting up components, equipment and parameters in accordance with WPS’s and welding. Welding to drawing / WPS and Process Plan requirements.

Fabrication
Reading drawings.
Setting up and tacking components to drawing and fabrication requirements.
Cutting, grinding, rolling and pressing as required to produce the required parts.

Coaching where appropriate.

Review and agree personal development objectives annually with your line manager.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The company runs management systems covering Quality, Health & Safety and the Environment. All work is to be performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
