COVID-19 Update - January 2021

To all of our esteemed clients, suppliers and stakeholders,

We are now into our third national lockdown, and work continues to be strong at Arc Energy. Following the news that the virus is spreading more rapidly, we have taken the precaution of enhancing our Covid-safe procedures, which now include more frequent cleaning schedules, a greater proportion of working from home, and an upgrade to our IT systems to enable greater use of remote-working facilities.

I would like to thank all of our employees, suppliers, clients and visitors for embracing the strict procedures, and helping to keep us all safe.

As a company, we also applaud the work of the scientists and logistics agencies in developing and rolling out the Covid vaccination programme. It is truly an incredible thing that a safe vaccine has been produced in just a year, and it is a testament to the quality of UK manufacturing that much of the research and development that led to this advancement was carried out here in the UK.

Since my last update, Brexit has taken place, and I would like to reassure all of our European clients that Arc Energy remains committed to providing the highest quality service to all clients, worldwide. Over 20% of our business is exported, and we have all the necessary policies and procedures in place to enable us to trade effectively with all countries.

We are continuing with our investment plans, and our R&D team have spent the last few months developing our ESAB electroslag welding plant, capable of cladding 60mm wide strip wire. You can see the video here.

As ever, stay safe, and look forward to better times ahead. I can’t wait for the time to come when we can meet in person again, and get back to business as usual.

Kind regards

Andrew Robinson
