Arc Energy’s Mike Hazelden Shortlisted for EMI Employee of the Year
Arc Energy Resources are delighted to announce that Mike Hazelden has been shortlisted for the Cotswold Life EMI Employee of the Year award.
The awards look to celebrate Cotswolds companies and employees that are at the absolute cutting edge of the manufacturing and engineering industries.
Mike epitomises a positive attitude, a strong self-motivated work ethic and a proven company loyalty.
Having suffered with serious illness over six years and with the availability of a generous sick scheme, Mike refused to take the time off he was entitled to and asked to come back to light duties whenever he felt able. Unable to perform more physical tasks, Mike took the responsibility of training Arc Energy’s staff which has proved to be an extremely successful move.
The quality department now relies on Mike whenever operatives require retraining. Bite-sized training sessions have become frequent at Arc Energy, resulting in less experienced operatives gaining valuable knowledge and skills thanks to Mike’s exceptional expertise.
A culture has developed where Arc Energy’s staff, however experienced, can turn to Mike and ask for assistance or guidance to help them improve.
Mike has transformed himself from a welder into a highly respected trainer to the benefit of himself and Arc Energy.
The awards ceremony is taking place at Cheltenham Racecourse on Thursday 2nd November. Tickets for the event are now available from the official website.
We would like to wish Mike the very best of luck and thank him for the commitment he has shown to Arc Energy during these difficult times.
