From first stage engineering prototypes to complete Bill of Materials (BoM), Arc Energy Resources has the in-depth knowledge and understanding to fulfil the most stringent requirements. We are experienced in dealing with sensitive documents, correspondence and components and are well versed in the requirements of UK and international defence standards.

The range of completed contracts for the naval defence industry include; hull penetrations and valves, complex corrosion resistant alloy pipework fabrications, weapon discharge system components and full supply of large diameter, clad, reactor cooling components. The materials used include Q1N, HY80/100, 80HLES and a range of corrosion resistant alloys including Inconel 625, Monel 60, nickel, stainless steels and bronze alloys.

Whether you are looking for specialist marine valves or corrosion resistant pipework, we can help at every stage of the process. Our team of highly skilled project managers and welding engineers will work with you to provide a full range of services, from design and procurement of materials to NDT, inspection, coating and delivery.

In 2017 we became an approved welding supplier to Rolls-Royce. As part of their approval process, undertook an extensive development programme culminating in a series of audits where we were assessed in terms of quality systems, manufacturing and technical capability, financial stability and cleanliness. We were required to produce a “deliverable quality plan” and have created a dedicated clean production area, audited and approved by Rolls-Royce, to house Arc Energy’s latest investments in CNC robotic welding and cladding.

Quality and innovation have always been the bedrock of success for Arc Energy and this accolade gives us further scope for our work in the defence sector; providing our highly skilled team further opportunities, where specialist welding technologies for deep sea and high pressure and nuclear environments, are required.

As well as Rolls-Royce approval we have ISO 9001:2015, we hold ISO 3834-2 covering quality requirements for Welding, Fusion Welding of Metallic Materials, Part 2, Comprehensive Quality Requirements and have also been deemed Fit4Nuclear (F4N) by Nuclear AMRC, showing that the company is competent to apply its weld overlay cladding and fabrication services to components destined for the naval and nuclear defence supply chain.
